If a special function was assigned to the middle mouse button, the default behavior for that button is no longer available.
Therefor rotate/zoom/pan using the middle mouse button do not work anymore.
In order to manipulate geometry using the middle mouse button, you need to set the button behaviour within the driver to 'Middle Mouse Button'.
If the mouse driver that came with the mouse doesn't provide this setting, deinstall the driver and install the mouse driver from Windows.
